Small Business Jobs Act of 2010: Tax Rules
|
Author: Sidney Kess and Barbara Weltman
Description:
The Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 contains many new tax rules, but while the title of the new law is "small business," some of these provisions are not restricted to companies of a particular size. We will explain the tax provisions in the new law, as well as any size restrictions that do apply. Then we'll cover other tax rules that are unique to small businesses.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify which the tax rules for small business run only for 2010.
- Define small business for different tax purposes.
- Discuss the small business tax breaks for qualified retirement plans.
