The Course offers tax professionals helpful guidance on the new law, including planning opportunities, pitfalls to beware of, and ways practitioners can capitalize on the law with their clients. Helpful Planning Pointers and Observations, as well as Alerts to changes affecting 2010 income tax returns are integrated throughout the course and are designed to assist users in understanding and applying the new law. The course covers tax rate changes for individuals, extensions of tax deductions and credits for individuals, education tax breaks, alternative minimum tax developments, tax changes for businesses, the payroll tax holiday, and estate and gift tax changes.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Define reunification of estate and gift tax rules
  • State the option for estates of decedents dying in 2010
