Financial Accounting Issues
|
Author: Steven C. Fustolo, CPA
Description: The FASB Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) essentially acts to resolve many interpretative issues under existing literature, which are beyond the scope of the FASB board.
FASB Staff Positions (FSPs) may also be used to make narrow and limited revisions to Statements or Interpretations that would have previously been made through Technical Bulletins, such as delaying the effective date of a particular statement.
This course addresses selected EITF and FSP consensus opinions that the author believes have broader appeal to the reader. At the end of this course, there is a detailed listing of the issues that have been discussed in the past 24 months.
