Employee Benefit Trends
|
Author: CCH Editorial Staff
Description:
This course reviews three trends that have recently developed in the employee benefits area: Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Voluntary Employee Benefit Associations (VEBAs); and benefits for domestic partners.
Employee Benefit Trends updates users on recent developments impacting HRAs, VEBAS and benefits for domestic partners. It will review the HRA plan to cap employer responsibility for medical expenses while providing the same coverage as a full-blown medical plan to a majority of workers.
The course will also cover how VEBAs are being used to allow small and mid-size businesses to self-fund benefits to employees and their dependents through a tax-favored vehicle. Finally, it will review the inclusion of domestic partners as participants in a growing number of employee fringe benefit programs.
