FASB Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) - Selected Issues

Description:

In 1984, the FASB Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) was formed to assist the FASB in the early identification of emerging issues affecting financial reporting and of problems in implementing authoritative pronouncements.

The EITF essentially acts to resolve many interpretative issues under existing authoritative GAAP literature that are beyond the scope of the FASB board. This course addresses selected EITF consensus opinions that the author believes have broader appeal to the reader.

At the end of this course, there is a detailed listing of the issues that have been issued in the past 24 months as well as those that are still pending.
