Overview
The Learning Network gives businesses the power to provide online training and education to their customers and employees. We can also assist professional organizations in providing learning to their members. As an Application Service Provider, we offer a full range of web services to take your organization's learning site from initial conceptualization through complete implementation. We call this service a Learning Center.
How It Works
With an annual site license, your organization is provided with its own custom web address that links directly from your home page, ensuring an integrated look and feel. For example, the California Association of Realtors main website establishes their corporate identity and offers a vast menu of services. Users interested in training can select the link for the C.A.R. Learning Center or they can type CAR's custom URL into the address bar. Users seamlessly transition to Learning Center servers without losing the look and feel of the client site. A site license includes resource areas that can be populated with any links and content the client desires. Typical areas might include a Resources area for forms, links and online industry tools; a Communication area for an Ask the Expert function, newsletters, and bulletin boards; a Catalog for client courses, 3rd party courses, and instructor lead training registration; and a News area for industry news feeds, analyst reports, etc.
Using the System
Learning Center users are able to access their training history on demand. The "My Course Transcript" feature allows users to track their progress by seeing which courses are underway, when they were last visited, which courses have been completed, and how they scored. The transcript also allows users to add courses that were taken outside their company. Additional features of the site license include design services, a web-based authoring tool, technical support, e-commerce, administration, reporting and record archiving. The Learning Network recognizes that no two organizations are the same. Publish Online with our Authoring Tool
Through The Learning Network's easy-to-use authoring tool, organizations can publish their content directly on their learning environment site with minimal training and experience. The user-friendly interface prompts authors for text, graphics, glossary terms, questions or any other instructional element, creating an engaging template for online courses. Content providers can readily convert their courseware into web-enabled courses listed in their own learning environment and hosted on a Learning Center server.
